PRAGUE MEETING, 8 – 10 OCTOBER 2003

The British Spouses Association (DSFA) organized a meeting in Prague with the British Human Resources Director and his counterparts from the Accession and Candidate Countries to discuss “Family Policy”. On this occasion the DFSA President, assisted by the Netherlands’ Family Officer and by a delegate of the Italian Spouses Association, took the opportunity to introduce the different types of Spouses/Partners Associations already existing in EUROPE, to stress the importance of good family policy and the benefits of spouses associations. 19th CONFERENCE, ATHENS 11 – 14 MAY 2003

Together with the institutional attendance, observers from Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey were present at the Conference.

It was decided during the Conference to help the new EU Accession countries as well as the Candidates countries to form Spouses Associations in the MFAs.
